Pudu is a town located along Pudu Road in Kuala Lumpur. It houses the oldest bus station in Kuala Lumpur which is Pudu Central or also known as Puduraya. Pudu Prison used to be located in this town as well before it was demolished. Pudu is well known for its wet market as well, Pudu Market, as one of the largest wet markets located in Kuala Lumpur. Pudu is surrounded by towns such as Bukit Bintang, Maluri and Cheras. There are many roads that connect to Pudu and gives access to neighbouring towns and cities. Residents and visitors can use these roads and highways to travel easily between the towns. Among the roadways that can be used are Jalan Pudu, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Ampang. These roadways give access to towns such as Kuala Lumpur centre and Ampang. There are many things that one can do in Pudu. Since Pudu is surrounded by towns and cities such as Bukit Bintang, KLCC and Cheras, one can enjoy the entertainment spots that these places have to offer. There are also shopping malls located in Pudu that one can visit to enjoy a nice shopping spree. The closest malls are Pudu Plaza, Shaw Parade and One Metro Pudu. Since Pudu is a township that is located close to Kuala Lumpur, one can enjoy a variety of cuisines available. From Western to Asian cuisine, there are many dishes that residents and tourists can enjoy. Some of the dishes that one shouldn’t miss eating are dim sums, wan tan mee, black sesame paste dishes, cendol and many more other local dishes that can be found in Pudu.
